Litter A

Meet Litter A, our newest West Highland White Terrier puppies, born September 4th to our very own Lila and sired by Boston here on the West Coast. This little litter of three, two girls and one boy, is being raised underfoot with early socialization, regular vet checks, and plenty of cuddles, so each puppy is ready to thrive in a loving home. They’ll be ready to go home on October 30th. With only three puppies available, spots are limited, so join our waitlist to reserve yours.

Developmental Milestones

Week 6

It’s been a week full of new experiences for Alfie, Anny, and Abby! Since last week, the puppies have been enjoying an evening porridge made from baby cereal, a little goat’s milk, ground beef, and homemade apple and pear compote, and they absolutely love it. Mama Lila still gives them her milk, but with their teeth getting sharper and their suckling getting stronger, she’s losing interest. So during playtime, she wears a onesie to protect her from constant nibbling. Alfie is the first to have erect ears, which makes him easy to spot in all the hustle and bustle!

Week 5

Now five weeks old, Alfie, Anny, and Abby have already conquered the living room! After we set up a small playpen around the whelping box, the puppies moved into their new residence the day before yesterday. Of course, they had to sniff their way around the whole room first, and there are so many exciting things to discover!

Week 4

Four weeks already, and time flies! Alfie, Anny, and Abby now weigh almost a kilogram (about 2 lbs) each. Their senses of sight and hearing sharpen a little more every day. At first, some noises startled them, but now even the vacuum cleaner can’t wake our sleepy Snowflakes. Their leg muscles are getting stronger all the time, and they’re getting faster and faster at running!

Week 2

Alfie (blue), Anny (red), and Abby are developing splendidly! At exactly two weeks old, all of our little Snowflakes have opened their eyes. The world is suddenly bright, and little by little they’re beginning to recognize shapes. Crawling around the whelping box isn’t enough anymore, either. They’re now practicing walking on all fours, and at first it looks pretty funny, since it’s hard to keep their balance and put one paw in front of the other. But the diligent ones will have no trouble finding their way to Mom’s milk bar!

Week 1

One week old and growing fast! Our two girls and one boy are gaining weight beautifully, and mama is as devoted as ever. Their little personalities are starting to peek through, and their eyes will begin to open soon. Every day brings something new, and we’re loving every minute with Litter A

Day 2.

Mama Lila and her three newborns at just 2 days old. Our prince and princesses are already snuggled close, sleeping, nursing, and soaking up all the love. These first days are quiet and sweet, and we’re so proud of mama for taking such good care of her little ones.
